2 down, 3 to go...

I am so glad today is almost over with. I shall explain...

I had one of my maths exams this morning, C2, which is quite a nice one because you get to use a calculator! So I wasn't complaining! I was up quite early this morning learning proofs for arithmetic and geometric series and for logarithms. Sounds complicated? Well it's not really.
Thankfully, the ones I could do quite well came up, so that has gained me 6 marks that I know of. There were also some other questions which I can find difficult, which appeared to be quite easy, but my grade will prove all!

And so to this afternoon.
I had my physics PH1 resit, because I felt the C I got in January wasn't as good as I could have actually got. But the paper in January was really hard. Proof... only 2 people in my year got an A on the paper, and I was one of about 10 people that got a C or above!
I completely forgot about the fact I was resitting this exam until about last week. But even though I did forget, I only started revision yesterday, by doing past papers! And then I realised how little I could remember... Not good.
Hopefully though, after a bit, I mean a lot of cramming, I think I have done all right on this paper.

Just have to wait and see for the results though I suppose!

So...

I'm running out of ideas for blog titles!

Ah well.

I went out with my mum today... bad idea.
I knew I should have stayed home and actually revised, because when I did get home I did a past paper from both maths and physics and realised that I probably am going to fail unless I learn quite a few definitions of things and proofs.

Aargh, I wish I had started revising last week, instead of messing around doing nothing. It's my own fault, but I never seem to learn from my mistakes.

The hills are alive with the sound of...

...Failure.

I realised today that I really am going to fail my physics resit exam. And probably my maths as well, but I am a bit better at maths than physics!

I went into school today for a music revision session, and to have a sing in choir, and I took some physics past papers with me to do as well. When I first looked at them I couldn't remember any of it. I started doing one of them, and I honestly did about 4 questions, even with the help of my textbook! So I am going to have to do a lot of revision with my notes!

I just can't seem to physically revise, but that's just me I suppose. Not so good if I want to go to uni though.

The truth...

Is always the best sometimes.

Well, there has been this girl that I have only know since March, but I liked her from the first time I saw her.
And then I found out that she is in the National Youth Choir of Wales as well, so my day just got better when she told me that.

I couldn't keep my feelings to myself, so I did tell one of my other friends who is also on nash that I liked her, and she did tell me that she would speak to one of the girl's friends to tell her for me.

Of course, this friend of mine, who is a bit dull, had forgotten to tell the friend of the girl, so I took it into my own hands to tell her myself.

Thing is, I didn't want to just tell her and scare her, so I realised that she has this lovely thing called Formspring, which lets you ask anonymous questions to people. So I did just tell her straight up on there how I felt, but of course she wanted to know who was asking. I gave her a few hints, and I think she managed to work out who I was just by me telling her that I was a girl!

She did work it out, and messaged me on Facebook about it, so we are talking now, and I'm pretty happy!

Joyful, Joyful...

(8) Joyful, joyful, Lord we adore thee.
God of glory, Lord of love.
Hearts unfold like flowers before thee,
Hail thee as the sun above... (8)

Oh, I am now beginning to love that song, it's awesome!

See, my choir, Greater Gwent Youth Choir, are collaboration with the Gospel Choir, and this is one of the pieces we are singing.
When the GGYC first saw this piece we were all quite scared, because this was not the sort of things we would usually do. We are mainly a very classical choir, and rarely step over the line into gospel music,  but we had to learn this along with an arrangement of Fix You by Coldplay, which is pretty lush!

Although, our rehearsal today was quite funny. One because the gospel choir had to sing two of our pieces, and two because of our attempt to sing their two songs!

Overall I did have a great day though, and I met a girl that I hadn't seen since I was about 11!

Roasting to death...

Oh my goodness!! I cannot believe how hot it has been today! Even walking around town in shorts and a vest I was still sweating!

I was meant to go to town with one of my mates that I haven't been out with for ages, but as I was about to leave to pick her up, she text me saying that her mum had told her to stay in and revise, so I was on my own again.

To try and avoid revision again, I asked all my friends on Facebook if they wanted to come out, but I only got one reply so decided just to head to town by myself. I did manage to get a lovely top and it was only £1! Bargain!

And now tomorrow I've got choir rehearsal all day so that is another excuse for not revising! I will get some done... eventually!

Sun sun sun...

Ok, so today I told myself that I was going to do some revision, and not get distracted by anything!

Well that didn't happen!
I was going to have a shower this morning, but as I was about to get up to have one, my friend Sam rang me asking if I could take him home from school so he could get a textbook for and exam he had this afternoon. So, being the good sport I am, I agreed to take him. As I was about to leave I got a text from my other friend James, asking what I was doing, and I told him, and he tagged along.

When we finally got to Sam's house, he came back out and rummaged through his bag, only to realise the textbook we had gone to his house to get was already in his bag! We did get a drink of cloudy lemonade out of the journey though!

So as I said, I was going to revise some music today, which basically involved listening to the pieces that we were doing while following the score, and learning the annotations along with it. But James said that he was fed up of revision so I agreed to go over his house and keep him entertained! I did take my music with me, so I just ended up colouring in parts of the score that I hadn't done yet.

We then ended up get even more bored than we were at the start of the day, and realised that it was too hot to stay in the garden, even though I do have some lovely tan lines now!
We wanted to go out, but most of out friends were in school either revising or they had an exam so we went and called on our other friend Sam (not the same one as above), who we dragged out to the sea wall to throw  rocks at other rocks!

And now I'm off to babysit my next door neighbours, this should be fun, although they do have an adorable dog!

If you are bored, have a look at some of the pictures from a photo shoot I did last month for the National Youth Choir of Wales...

And if you hadn't worked out who I am, I'm the short one with brown hair!
